This Sunday is an awesome opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to a Christian concert that could be life changing. Following the morning service there will be a free BBQ lunch in the Family Life Center. The attire is casual (Western if you have it). Don’t miss this opportunity to invite someone you put on your card (Who’s in your Wallet card).
Look forward to seeing you Sunday morning!

What a great day we had at Eastwood yesterday. The choir sang the greatest song ever written (in my humble opinion), “A Mighty Fortress is our God” and sounded great. Thanks Kyle and choir for all the work you guys do in order to lead us in worship.
Bro. Gordon spoke on preparing to “fish” again. These are indeed exciting days around here as we prepare to refocus on sharing the Gospel on a more regular and intentional basis. There is nothing more exciting in this world than sharing the greatest news the world has ever known with those who so desperately need to hear it.
In the evening Gordon continued his teaching through the book of Romans (we are now in chapter 5). The message was entitled “Qualifications for Salvation” and was a great reminder of our need for God’s grace and the amazing work of the Spirit in our lives. If you weren’t there, please get the tape!
As I said at the beginning, we had a great day at Eastwood! Invite your friends to join us next week as together we seek to follow after God!

Discipleship 1 Comment
We are preparing to offer great training on how to share your faith with your family, friends, neighbors and person X. It is the best model I have used. Our focus in everything we do at Eastwood needs to be sharing Jesus. We will be hearing messages each Sunday to help us focus on having faith conversations with others. On September 28 you will have the opportunity to make a commitment to pray for a least 3 people once a day for 6 days and then continue to ask that God would give you an opportunity to share with those three people. You will receive a card like a credit card that has the space for three names. The phrase we will be using is “Who’s in your wallet”? When you open up your wallet it will be a reminder to pray for those three names. I hope you will be part of this great opportunity to see many people impacted for Christ. Gordon

Conferences Leave a Comment
Gordon, Doyle Vance and I are having an incredible time at the Returning to God Conference with Henry Blackaby at FBC Moore. The conference began this afternoon with Blackaby discussing hearing and responding to the voice of God. The conference continues tonight and will finish up tomorrow around noon. It is always great to sit and listen to a man who listens to God like Dr. Blackaby.
Here is one great quote from the first session, we will share more later:
“Every name of God (i.e. Jehovah Jireh) is an invitation to know Him.”
For example, Abraham learned that God provides when he saw the ram in the thicket and sacrificed it instead of his son.
Looking forward to a great Sunday at Eastwood!
